Year 2005 Block of the Month Clubs:

Thimbleberries Club - Circle of Love: by Mary MacDonald!  We will continue the Thimbleberries Club tradition on the second Tuesday of each month.  Membership required. New times: 1-3 or 6-9 pm.  Newcomers are welcome!!!!   We have constructed a web page dedicated to Thimbleberries projects past and present, be sure to check out the link above.

Atlantis, designed by Annette Ornelas. Pattern purchase required. This class will meet on the 4^th Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm and is for the intermediate quilter.

Storybook Farm   This class will meet on the third Wednesday of each month beginning in February 2005. This is Pine Needles’ newest pattern group which we are sure you won’t want to miss. Pattern and kit purchase required. Level: Beginner

A Quilted Village   Create your own dream village. Row houses, a school, church, courthouse and other quaint buildings march around a village green. In this charming little quilt you will learn to paper piece and appliqué, and experiment with silk ribbon embroidery. Pattern purchase required. Level: Advanced Beginner

Jo’s Little Women Club”  You are invited to step back in time for this six month long club, making “small, old looking quilts and needful things.” This BOM will meet at 6 pm on the fourth Thursday of each month beginning in March. No charge for the club; however, pattern purchase is required due to copyright. Level: Beginner and up.

Our free Second Saturday Sampler, began in January. Come to the store at 10:30 am on the second Saturday of each month for a free pattern. Bring your completed block back the next month and receive a free fat quarter and the next month’s pattern. Join us for A Tisket, A Tasket , an original block of the month quilt, designed especially for QE by Alice Kay Arnett. Level: Beginner and up

BOM quilt projects from previous years:

Let’s Go Star Gazing BOM finished February 2005.  This beautiful Star Gazing quilt was made by Dawn Carter.  Click on picture to see the rest of the quilts.

"Women’s Voices" is a Civil War reproduction quilt that features thirteen 15" finished blocks.  This BOM last class was Feb 2005.

Bible Block Sampler:  The 2003 Bible Block BOM has been completed.  Pictured below are the class members along with Rose McNerney who led the class.

The "A" Team appliqué club  We are planning another beginning class, as well as new exciting projects for the fall.  In this free class we will explore a variety of appliqué techniques in preparation for making a Block of the Month (BOM) quilt which will begin in January. Level: beginner and up.
